On Friday, February 10, 2012, a coalition of about 175 organizations and physicians sent a letter to Secretary of HHS, Kathleen Sebelius and Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the CDC. The letter asked the leaders to ignore new sex ed guidelines promoted by anti-abstinence special interest groups. The guidelines promote controversial content and normalize teen sex, ignoring any emphasis on the skills related to sexual delay.
